The Game (1997)

A wealthy businessman (Michael Douglas) shuts out people in his life and seeks control of everything but all this changes when his brother (Sean Penn) gives him a birthday present to a company who provide "entertainment" for its clients and the place of this recreation is his life.  He finds a toy clown in his driveway, he has a mysterious object delivered to him, he is driven to an undesired location by a taxi driver. This lack of control is the factor that makes THE GAME a thrill to watch as a tycoon has to deal with things that he has tried to push away so hard. I think it is so kewl to see the acting Douglas brings to the table as his character tries to grapple with undesired settings and situations. [4 stars]
