Munich (2005)

Little ole Israel gets feisty in this action thriller. The 1972 Munich Olympics brought tears to many eyes and after Israel's athletes are killed they go all out to find who did it and make a message to the world, what that message is you'll have to watch and discover it. A superb conversation between an Israelite and an Arab sympathizer revealing the tension between these two peoples. What begins as a story about a country ends as a tale of a man and his family which is a nice touch by Steven Spielberg as we just have spent so much time on what Israel is doing that we tend to overlook the personal dramas involved. I thought the way they got the group together was kewl and helped MUNICH's likeability and made what the characters  did more absorbing. [4.2 stars]
