A young lawyer (Keanu Reeves) finds an opportunity to work his way up to the big-time by accepting an offer from a man (Al Pacino) in New York City who seems to have a gift for knowing people. His wife (Charlize Theron) suffers from hallucinations or are they? and then comes the ending which blows open the doors as to who this gifted man really is AND adds more to the THE DEVIL'S ADVOCATE story than what what you thought at first. Pacino is superb, devil-may-care attitude and dark where he needs to be. The plot is weaker than it should be otherwise this could have been a classic. [4.3 stars]
