The Usual Suspects (1995)

A band of criminals are hauled in to a police station for questioning and a story unfolds of a mysterious man from Turkey who may be involved in wanting some (or all) of these men dead. The way this suspenseful tale is told is through the interrogation of Verbal (Kevin Spacey) by a customs agent. The ending is heavy-duty and makes this a memorable film not to mention that when one of the band of five picks up his personal effects to walk free, it is the kewlest moment in THE USUAL SUSPECTS.  You don't know what in the story is truth and what is mere fabrication even after seeing the film. I find it odd Spacey won the Oscar for best supporting actor even though he is the central actor in the movie. [4.7 stars]
