Natural Born Killers (1994)

A cavalcade of blood, noise and violence. NATURAL BORN KILLERS keeps a frenetic tempo and tries to mimic society's values in our penchant for bloodlust and serial killers, the fringe in other words. I think Oliver Stone goes over the top but the editing deserves mention, not only is it creative but cartoons and newsreels combining with real-time footage makes for wonderful cinematic candy and at times approaches moving-image art. A delight to see Rodney Dangerfield on celluloid but the character he portrays is not the kewlest father in the world. Long section of movie in a prison is a drawback. [4.2 stars]
