Steven Spielberg directs with George Lucas chipping in with writing to make a crackerjack blockbuster about a free-wheeling archeologist (Harrison Ford) who attempts to find the ark from the Bible only to learn that World War II Germany is also after it and have enlisted the aid of his rival. RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK is packed with creative action sequences and even kewler is the length of these scenes. I will never forget the rolling ball and its re-enactment at Disney World. This is the best of the Indiana Jones films which would try to cash in on the coattails of this, the original. [4.2 stars]
