Good Time (2017)

Small company film about the connection between 2 brothers, one is low-functioning in trouble with the law for a bank robbery. The other, Connie, tries to bust him out of prison. Connie seems to be the type of person not to put a lot of planning into his actions. The bank robbery goes bad and the bond man plan goes south and getting his friend's help goes sour and the plan to get a valuable object from an amusement park goes sideways. Well, that's a lot of stuff that needs explainin' but GOOD TIME does such a great job depicting the action I will let you go watch it and probably enjoy the film more than if I give a good synopsis. Our pirate from CAPTAIN PHILLIPS shows up here as a night watchman and what happens to him is hiiiiiiiiiilarious ofcourse  if it was real life it wouldn't be. Most of the film follows Connie around as he is relentless in going after his brother. A kewl scene pops up when Connie is watching TV with a 16 year old girl and he has to divert her attention. Never saw that coming, really everything is so fresh and unpredictable in this it makes this small-timer rise above big filmmaking companies. [4.4 stars]
