Green Zone (2010)

Chief Warrant Officer Miller (Matt Damon) keeps looking for weapons of mass destruction in Iraq but comes up empty leading to a suspicion that the intelligence behind these clues is faulty but no one addresses his concern until he meets a CIA operative who doesn't like what's happening in the United States government plan to restructure Iraq after Saddam Hussein's rule. Miller, kewl as a cucumber, meets an Iraqi and  the drama continues as suspense builds while the moviegoer wonders if Miller is on to something and if Poundstone (Greg Kinnear) of military intelligence is trying to put one over on Miller and his men. As the GREEN ZONE reaches its conclusion, I thought it raised a good question: who  should have a say in what happens in that country? The perpetrator of violence at the climactic scene is unlikely and seems forced so it loses some points for that. [4.2 stars]
